Good Friday

Can You imagine what a Crucifixion is?

My executioner's stretch out my arms, they hold my hand and my wrist against the wood and press the nail until it stabs my flesh. Then, with one heavy hammer smash, they drive it through - and pain bursts like a bomb of fire in my brain. They seize the other arm; and agony again explodes.

Then raising my knees so that my feet are flat against the wood, they hammer them fast, too.

Holy Thursday

The Lord's Supper
Mass @ 7:00 pm in the Church with Adoration following until 10:00 pm

"When the Lord of the world comes and undertakes the slaves taks of foot-washing - which is an illustration of the way he washes our feet all through our lives - we have a totally different picture. God doesn't want to trample on us, but kneels down before us so as to exalt us. The mystery of the greatness of God is seen precisely in the fact that he can be small… Only when power is changed from the inside, and we accept Jesus and His way of life, whose whole self is there in the act of foot-washing, only then can the world be healed and the people be able to live at peace with one another."                        Pope Benedict XVI
